šø 8 Ways to Make Money With Your Travel Photos
Hey There Nomad!
Have you got thousands of amazing travel photos gathering dust in your icloud or google photos library?
This is my ridiculous library of photos and videos;
But rather than let them just sit there, why not try to make some money out of them!
Here are 8 ways to make money from your travel pics;
1. Stock Photography: Upload your best images to platforms like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, or Getty Images. These sites allow businesses and individuals to purchase your photos for various uses, and when they do you get a cut!
2. Print Sales: Set up an online store on Etsy or Redbubble and sell prints, canvases, or photo books featuring your work.
3. Travel Blogging: Start a blog showcasing your photos and experiences. As your audience grows, you can earn through advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing. (This will take a while, but is potentially very profitable).
4. Instagram Influencing: Build a strong following by consistently posting high-quality images. Collaborate with travel brands for sponsored content once you've established yourself. (Like blogging, will take some time, but many brands are looking for āmicro-influencersā these days so you donāt need to be Kim Kardashian to attract sponsors)
5. Workshops and Tours: If you fancy yourself a bit of an amateur David Bailey, offer photography workshops or lead photo tours in locations you're familiar with, teaching others while earning income.
6. Licensing: Reach out to tourism boards, travel agencies, or hotels to license your photos (or videos) for their marketing materials.
7. Freelance Work: If you have a knack for photography/videography, pitch your services to travel magazines, websites, or guidebooks that need quality imagery.
8. Start an ecommerce brand: Use your designs on t-shirts, mugs, towels, cushions by integrating Printify with Etsy, Redubble or Shopify
If you have some raw footage that needs a bit of tweaking, or even want to hone your photography skills I highly recommend Emil Parkarklis from iphonephotographyschool - (not an affiliate link). I have quite a few of his courses and theyāre great!
Happy snapping! š

Hereās a few interesting tidbits & tips Iāve been pondering/exploring this week, which I hope youāll find interesting or useful.
Are you using ChatGPT? If not, you should be. From recipes, travel plans, even a bit of business or life coaching! But lately Iāve been using Claude, a competing large language model. While not quite as versatile as ChatGPT (no internet access, images etc), I have found it to be more intuitive and far more useful for coming up with ideas for social media posts etc. Give the free version a go and try it out for yourself. Itās life changing!
You may or may not know that a few years back my husband & I built an extremely successful ecommerce brand, which we sold in 2020. Well, weāre gearing up to do it again! To that end Iāve been listening a lot lately to Ryan Moran from Capitalism.com, and highly recommend his book - 12 Months to $1 Million. Iāll let you know when we get started, as some of you might want to come along for the ride!
Talking about ecommerce, I love Sarah Chrisp from Wholesale Ted and in this video sheās sharing a new print on demand marketplace (a bit like Etsy), which is completely free to start selling on! Itās all I can do to stop myself setting up a store today! (Stay focused Jo š).
Iāve been pining a bit for Asia while in the UK, and so my eyes locked onto this post when it passed by my feed. The only places I havenāt visited on this list yet are Taipei & Jakarta. All the other places I can highly recommend. Be careful though. Once youāve been āasianifiedā, you may never want to live anywhere else!
This post on new UNESCO sites has greatly inspired my bucket list goals. Apparently there are 1,223 world heritage properties. What a challenge it would be to make visiting them all a goal! š¤
Lastly, check out this fantastic facebook page! Kicking myself I didnāt start it myself, itās right up my alley! Am now following for daily beach shots!

šāš¦ŗ The 4th & Final House Sit
For those who have just joined the newsletter, Iām currently housesitting my way around the UK - (hereās an update of where I am and what Iām doing).
We have made it to our 4th and final house sit while here in the UK. Weāre in a very lovely house in a place called Balham right next to Wandsworth Common and a hop & a jump to the city of London.
Our four legged friend for this part of our journey is an old fella called Arthur who was a bit distressed when we arrived and took a bit of adjusting bless him (I didnāt sleep for 2 nights), but now with lots of TLC seems to have settled down and got used to our company.
In the meantime the week ahead is an exciting one for us as itās my daughters 18th! (Where does the time go??)
We have lots of activities planned in London town and I look forward to sharing some pics of āthe big smokeā on FB.
