Are you thinking about exploring the world, but haven't made the leap yet?

Perhaps you're in the planning stage or are a bit apprehensive about what lies ahead. The digital nomad lifestyle can be incredibly rewarding, but it's not for everyone.

If you’re not sure here are 9 signs you might be ready to go nomad!

1. You're already working remotely: Your current job allows you to work from anywhere, you have freelance skills that are location-independent, or you’ve started building an online business.

2. You've built a financial safety net: You have savings to cover at least 3-6 months of expenses, including potential travel costs. (Or like us, you’re a huge risk taker and are prepping to take the leap knowing a net will pop up somewhere! - Read my starter story here)

3. You're minimalist-curious: The idea of downsizing your possessions excites rather than scares you.

4. You thrive on change: New environments energize you instead of causing anxiety. (If you’re anything like me, staying in one place for a long period of time causes serious itchy feet syndrome 🦶)

5. You're self-motivated: You can maintain productivity without the structure of a traditional office.

6. You have a support system: Whether it's family, friends, or online communities, you have people who support your nomadic aspirations.

7. Your commitments are flexible: You don't have location-dependent responsibilities like caring for family members or pets. (Or you have independent family members who actively encourage you to get out and explore the world)

8. You're (reasonably) tech-savvy: You're comfortable with basic digital tools for communication, project management, and file sharing.

9. You've done a trial run: You've successfully worked remotely while traveling for an extended period (at least a few weeks) and enjoyed the experience. (or again like us, you’re just ready for a change and happy to take the leap without trying it first!)

If you’ve said yes to at least 90% of these you’re definitely getting ready to pack your bags and book your flight!

🚣‍♀️ I Capsized in the Middle of the Ocean!

If you’ve just joined the newsletter, welcome! I hope you’re enjoying the content so far. This is my personal section where I give a quick update of my comings and goings and right now I’m in Cancun, Mexico and loving it! 🇲🇽

In our first week, we’ve been snorkelling with whale sharks (I missed the sharks altogether), kayaked out to an old wreck (and then promptly capsized the kayak in the middle of the ocean and couldn’t get back on) and had a fun night out on the Jolly Roger (a crazy pirate fuelled rock and roll dinner and show on the ocean).

Here’s my week in pics;

As of last night we’ve just arrived to a new hotel along ‘La Zona Hotelera en Cancun’ (Hotel Zone).

In the coming week we’ve booked to scuba dive MUSA - the underwater museum (and one of my top 10 bucket list items), scuba dive the Great Mexican Reef which is apparently the 2nd largest in the world, and enjoy a night out at Coco Bongo, a show & disco venue (will be needing a Siesta for that one!).

Living my best life! 🥳
