Anzac Day Parades in Brisbane this week - So much National pride, it was wonderful! ❤️
Generate $10k a Month for Free?
I was adding some videos to Stan store this week for a mini-course I’ve got coming soon. 😁
And as I quickly and easily uploaded a whole course in minutes, I had a flash back to sitting at a table in an apartment in Cyprus in 2010, actually crying with frustration trying to get videos onto my website. (I can picture the moment clear as day!)
This was before you could just drop in a YouTube link and be done with it.
I was using some clunky piece of software (I can’t even remember the name now, something with “EZ” in the title). Spoiler: it wasn’t.
Back then, tech was tough.
Building a basic website took days.
Embedding a PayPal button felt like black magic.
And setting up a membership site took weeks, if you were lucky.
With todays tech though you can do the lot in a day, most of it for free.
The point is, building an online business has never been easier, cheaper, or faster than it is right now.
If you’ve got a laptop, an internet connection, and an idea you’re excited about, you can start creating income from anywhere in the world, pretty much for free.
Substack (build a blog, newsletter and paid community) — Free
Facebook Groups (grow your network, find collaborators, test ideas) — Free
ChatGPT (get free help with writing, outlines, headlines, product ideas) — Free (basic plan)
Spotify for Podcasters or Substack Audio (launch a podcast or stream) — Free
Zoom (run free workshops, mini-classes, or interviews) — Free (up to 40 mins)
Canva (design everything from posts to product covers) — Free (basic plan)
Notion (build and deliver digital products, organise your business) — Free
Gumroad (sell your digital products, no upfront fees) — Free
Redbubble / Zazzle (upload designs and sell physical products with no upfront cost) — Free
Stan Store (if you want a full storefront later — free trial, low cost)
You can literally build an entire empire before you even start laying out any costs.
But fair warning:
Free doesn’t mean easy.
Consistency, focus, and patience are still the magic ingredients.
If you're ready to dive deeper, I’ve broken down every step to get you up and running in this post:
You don’t need to lay out $$$$ to make $$$$.
You just need to start.

SIDE HUSTLE HIGHLIGHT
Sell on Amazon (FBA)

Looking for a meatier side hustle—one you can build, grow, and eventually sell to fund a lifetime of travel?
Amazon FBA is a product-based business model where you sell physical goods on Amazon, while they handle the logistics. It’s one of the most scalable side hustles out there, but it’s not hands-off—especially in the first year, and unfortunately this is not a business you can start for free.
You’ll need to invest time in product research, supplier negotiation, branding, setup, and marketing, and money in upfront stock—but done right, it can become a long-term, sellable asset.
It’s also a business you can manage from anywhere.
With Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), you send your products to Amazon’s warehouse, and they take care of packing, shipping, and customer service—so you can focus on growing your brand, launching new products, and building momentum while you travel.
This week’s guide walks you through the essential first steps of getting started with Amazon FBA.
You’ll learn:
The full setup process—from product research and branding to listings and launch
The best wholesaler platforms and sourcing tools to find and test products
The best beginner tools (and how AI can speed up product ideas and copy)
Where to find the best tutorials, training, and learning communities

TRAVEL TRIVIA
What’s the only country in the world with a capital city that starts with ‘Q’?

This South American country’s capital is known for its high altitude, sitting at 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest capital cities in the world. It is famous for its colonial architecture, stunning Andean views, and proximity to the equator.
Can you name the country? (Bonus points if you can name the city!)

That’s All Folks!
That’s it from me this week.
Only 2 weeks until we head off to Fiji and we still haven’t booked any accommodation or planned where we’re going yet. I can’t wait to share our ‘fly by the seat of our pants’ journey with you! 😳😁
In the meantime, have an amazing week and as always get out there and make it happen!
P.S. Thanks for your votes last week on a ‘Mini Mission’ or ‘Ask Jo’ segment. It was a pretty tight run between the two, so I’ll just include one or the other when I feel it could be of great benefit to you.
If you do have any questions for the ‘Ask Jo’ segment, please email me! Just hit reply, ask me a question and I’ll include my answer in an upcoming newsletter (I’ll also only refer to you by your first name so don’t I won’t reveal who the question came from). I look forward to hearing from you!
