Side Hustle Highlight

Information Marketing is Out. AI Influencers are In!

In a change to my usual ‘mini mastery’ sections, this week I thought it would be fun to share some interesting side hustle/income generation ideas from creators around the web;

Is Information Marketing Dead? - In this video by internet marketing OG Pat Flynn, he shows the decline in information product sales and gives three options for selling your expertise in today’s information overloaded world!

AI Influencer Side Hustle - one of my favourite creators Sarah Chrisp - host of the Wholesale Ted You Tube channel shows how she created her own AI Influencer and tried to monetize using Instagram. Here’s how she got on

Should you have a podcast? - in this podcast episode from Jon Lee Dumas, he chats with Dave Jackson founder of the School of Podcasting who advocates for the power of podcasting no matter your business model!

Mindset Matters

Worried About Keeping Up with the Young Kids? Do This Instead…

I had a conversation with my husband while walking the dog this week about the feelings of overwhelm that can envelop you when thinking about trying to keep up with the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

And I don’t think it’s only relevant to us because we’re getting older. I think even as a youngster in todays fast paced world, it’s pretty tough to stay up to date with what amounts to almost daily changes!

But rather than stressing about keeping up with the "young kids," lets remind ourselves that the tools may change, but the principles remain the same.

No matter what business or side hustle you’re attempting to grow, there are only 3 main levers you need to keep top of mind at all times;

  1. Knowing Your Target Market: Figure out who your ideal customer is and create content, products or services that cater to their specific needs and wants.

  2. Growing your audience: Build a community of loyal followers by offering value and nurturing those relationships. Email marketing is still one of the best ways to connect with your tribe and create lasting bonds.

  3. Offering massive value: Create a product or service that solves a problem or fulfills a need for your target market. Focus on quality and going above and beyond for your customers.

While all the new technology and platforms might seem overwhelming, remember that they're just tools to help you reach your business goals.

And while it’s good to have a general idea of what's going on in the world of technology and trends, you don't need to be an expert in every single new thing that pops up.

By sticking to the core principles I’ve listed above and keeping your eyes on the prize, you'll be well-equipped to navigate the ever-changing world of digital solopreneurship.

Failing that, just jump on a plane and go and sit on a technology free beach! 😂

Working Traveller (aka me) News

Less than 2 Weeks to Nomad Day!

So my daughter (who was 4 when we started our online adventures), graduated school here in Thailand yesterday! 🥳

She also sang at the ceremony which was a very proud moment for me! See all the pics and videos on my FB profile here.

Watching her graduate was a bittersweet moment. On the one hand it’s a big (and emotional) realisation that she’s one step closer to flying the nest and living her own life. On the other hand it’s a step closer to total freedom for my husband and I, allowing us to fulfill our dreams of strapping on the backpacks and heading off into the great unknown! 🗺️

Either way, we are now on the final countdown to nomad day (the day we leave our house and become full time travellers!) Only 12 days to go!

I’m looking forward to sharing lots of travel stories, tips and hacks in real time! ✈️

Trivia Answer

If you guessed the Sedlec Ossuary in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic, you'd be correct!

Located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints, the Sedlec Ossuary is a small chapel that contains the remains of an estimated 40,000 to 70,000 people, many of whom died during the Black Death in the 14th century or during the Hussite Wars in the 15th century.

In 1870, a local woodcarver named František Rint was hired to organize the bone collection. He used the bones to create intricate decorations, including a chandelier that incorporates every bone in the human body, a coat of arms of the noble family that hired him, and various skull chalices and candelabras.

The result is a macabre yet fascinating display of memento mori art for those interested in the mix of history, religion, and artistic expression.

Hmm, not sure this one will make my bucket list, but I am looking to revisiting the Czech Republic in the future!

That’s All Folks!

That’s it from me this week. I hope it’s been useful!
