Is Your Daily Routine Ageing You?

Plus how to profit from printables!

What Makes You Leap Out of Bed in the Morning? 😊

I’ve been thinking a lot about ā€œyouthful energyā€ lately.

A friend of mine used that phrase in a comment recently, and it really resonated. Because it perfectly describes how I want to feel, and how I do feel, when I’m excited about something.

And in all honesty, that feeling hits me most when I’m on the move.

Waking up in a new place. Watching the sunrise over a different horizon. Tasting something I’ve never tried before. Getting lost (and found) in a winding backstreet.

That buzz, that aliveness, that moving out of my comfort zone - is what keeps me young.

My husband saw a tweet this week that said;

 Most people die at 25, but aren’t buried until they’re 75!’ 🤯

Having just been discussing our forthcoming nomadic adventures in South America I jumped out of my chair and said ā€˜YES! That’s what I’m talking about!’

To me that feeling of ā€˜not really living’ is most present when I’m in a mundane daily routine suffering an acute feeling of groundhog day! I’m not sure what that says about my character, but I think the real secret to anti-aging, is in having an exciting purpose!

A reason to get up in the morning! A project, mission, or idea that matters to you.

In Japan, there’s a concept called Ikigai—loosely translated as ā€œa reason for being.ā€

In places like Okinawa, one of the world’s Blue Zones (regions known for longevity), purpose is seen as one of the key ingredients in living a long, healthy life.

And it makes sense.

When you have something to contribute… when you feel useful, inspired, and engaged… you naturally carry more energy, more joy, and more life-force into your days.

So let me ask you this:

What’s a purpose or activity that makes you feel alive?

For me it’s travelling, sharing my experiences, and helping other people live their dreams and grab life with both hands!

How about you?

It doesn’t have to be big or dramatic.

  • It could be a fun side hustle.

  • Dancing.

  • Gardening.

  • Volunteering.

  • Moving your body.

  • Starting a project that lights a little fire inside.

Just take a moment this week to check in with yourself.

What makes you leap out of bed in the morning?

And how can you give that just a little more space in your life?

This European capital is unique because it shares borders with both Austria and Hungary, making it the only capital in the world with two neighboring countries. Despite its small size, it is rich in history, home to a stunning medieval old town, and sits along the banks of the Danube River.
