What Are You Waiting For?

  • More money?

  • More confidence?

  • A quieter time?

  • A sign from the universe that now is finally the right moment?

I’ve been thinking about the stories we tell ourselves this week.

We convince ourselves we’ll start soon. When we’ve figured it all out. When we’ve got a better plan. When things calm down.

But more often than not, “soon” becomes never — and our dreams quietly fade into the background of busy lives.

It’s interesting that most people don’t actually quit on their dreams, they just postpone them until it’s too late.

And it doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in tiny decisions.

The trip you don’t take. The project you don’t start. The idea you sit on for another week, month, year…

All while life continues on — and the window to do that thing gets smaller.

I’m with you!

I still haven’t started publishing the books I know are inside me. Not because I don’t want to, but because I haven’t made it a priority.

Other things take over like deadlines, business, distractions, life. And it’s easy to tell myself, “I’ll get to it when I’ve got a bit more time.”

But the reality is, if we don’t make space for the things that matter, they don’t happen.

They slip down the list and gather dust.

At some point, we have to stop asking for permission or waiting for the ‘right time’. Because the right time doesn’t exist, and ‘someday’ isn’t a real date. It’s just a way to delay the thing we secretly want most.

If you’ve been sitting on a side hustle idea, dreaming about travel, or talking yourself out of doing something bold because you’re “not ready”… this weeks Substack article is for you.

You don’t need to go all in. You just need to begin.

Action is what turns “someday” into now.

SIDE HUSTLE HIGHLIGHT

Start a Shopify (Print on Demand) Store

Wouldn’t it be great if you could run an online store from your laptop without dealing with inventory?

Turns out you can! With Print on Demand (POD), you can design and sell custom T-shirts, mugs, tote bags, journals, and more—without ever touching a single product.

Your items are only printed when someone places an order. Platforms like Printful, Printify, and Gelato handle the fulfilment, so you can focus on creating designs and building your brand.

This week’s guide walks you through how to set up your own Shopify-based POD store—from choosing products to launching and making your first sales.

You’ll learn:

  • The exact setup steps to launch your Shopify POD store from scratch

  • Which Print-on-Demand platforms to choose for reliable quality and global shipping

  • The best tools to create product designs—yourself or with AI (no design skills needed)

  • Simple marketing tactics to start driving traffic and test product ideas quickly

Whether you want to sell travel-themed apparel, feminist merch, or pet lover accessories, POD lets you turn creativity into cash!

🚀 New Newsletter Idea – Help Me Decide!

I’m thinking of adding a short, actionable section to the weekly newsletter—but I’d love your input!

Here are two ideas I’m tossing up:

🧭 Mini Mission
A tiny challenge or mindset prompt to move you closer to your travel + freedom goals.

👉 Example:
Mini Mission: Find a photo that represents the life you actually want to live.
A version where you feel free, adventurous, purposeful—whatever that looks like to you. Make it your phone’s lock screen. Every time you pick it up, let it remind you what you’re working toward. No more waiting for “someday.”

💬 Ask Jo
Your real questions answered in one honest reply + one small action. You can send me a question anytime, and I’ll feature one each week! Just hit reply or drop it in the Facebook group.

👉 Example:
Q: “What’s an easy first digital product I could create if I’ve never sold anything online before?”
A: Start with something simple and useful—like a checklist, guide, or template. You don’t need fancy tools. You can literally create it in Google Docs and sell it as a PDF.
(Of course, in the newsletter, I’d go deeper—this is just a quick example!)
Mini Action: Think of one question people often ask you. Now imagine turning your answer into a 1-page resource. There’s your first product idea.

Which one should I include each week?

Which island nation has the most languages spoken?

This country is home to over 800 distinct languages, making it the most linguistically diverse nation on Earth. Due to its rugged terrain and isolated communities, many of these languages are spoken by only a few thousand people, and some are at risk of disappearing.

Can you name it?
